This is an exciting opportunity in Neillsville, WI for a Materials Manager. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Lead efforts within one or more Supply Chain functions including materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management and order fulfillment.
Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met from end to end in each of the supply chains.
Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain.
Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems.
Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
Mitigate long term supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders.
Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
Develop, understand and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.
Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans.
Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate.
Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense resources, and capital.
Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.
Qualifications
Skills
Analytical Reasoning - Has an advanced understanding of analytical methodologies and the ability to utilize various statistical methodologies. Provides recommendations for business actions based on the conclusions drawn from analysis in a way that is meaningful to the business partner.
Project Management - Capable of effectively managing complex projects with little to no guidance.
Supply Chain Knowledge - Completely understands the role of each function in the Supply Chain and how their Key Performance Indicators support the needs of end customers. Has been a leader in a number of Supply Chain functions and led cross-functional teams to drive improvements in the Supply Chain.
Fosters Open Communication - Demonstrated ability to improve and expand the application of fostering open communication at Cummins. Establishes creative ways to obtain input from others. Shows outstanding active listening skills that draw out difficult or contentious information. Chooses the appropriate communication vehicle for the situation. Coaches and develops direct reports and or project team members on basic performance issues and development needs. Dedicates appropriate time when coaching and developing others. Utilizes structured approach and appropriate tools when coaching and developing others. Provides relevant assignments to direct reports that address individual development needs.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
B. S or BA in applicable field, MBA preferred
Experience
Significant level of relevant work experience required.
Manage a team consisting of Shipping & Receiving functions, 3 shifts of Material Handlers, Cycle Counters, Shipping schedulers, Production Planners, Production Buyers, Master Production Schedulers and three functional leads.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
